Aeronautics is seeking a supplier quality manager responsible for the supplier quality department's daily operations and developing and maintaining the quality management systems. This includes developing and maintaining supplier processes, procedures, and manuals, liaising with suppliers, performing supplier audits, reviews and coordinating supplier improvements activities. This person will focus on supporting the supplier base for global manufacturing locations, all facets of the supplier quality system, responding to local, regional and global issues through formal problem-solving techniques, driving continuous supplier improvement through advanced manufacturing principles, and working closely with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure long-term success.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain our supplier quality management system, including supplier quality manuals, procedures, scorecards, and improvement activities.
- Monitor supplier's quality performance, such as product defects, on-time delivery, and other incidents involving the supplier's failure to meet quality requirements. Responsible for Supplier Quality activities across the organization and managing staff across multiple sites
- Perform initial supplier assessments and ongoing supplier audits. The position plays a crucial role in oversight, development, and approval of process validations at supplier sites
- Review and evaluate supplier quality data to improve supply chain; develop current suppliers, phase out current suppliers, and or phase in new supplier.
- Collaborates with suppliers to ensure root causes are documented, and corrective actions are taken and sustained. Ensure supplier-caused warranty-related issues have documented root causes and countermeasures in place.
- Collaborate with Engineering to define parameters/criteria/tolerances to align supplier's capability with product requirements closely.
- Review suppliers manufacturing processes and collaborate on process improvements and or design to cost initiatives.
- Promote the use of continuous improvement and risk mitigation tools, such as lean, six sigma, poka-yoke, FMEA
- Create and sustain FAI and or PPAP processes to ensure supplier's product meets expectations. Periodic review of supplier's documentation (certifications, test results, etc) and support business decisions.
- Manage supplier key performance indicators and work with Supply Chain Leaders to improve. Serves as a key point of contact to Quality and Supply Chain partners for Supplier Quality issues and coordinates with the supplier to drive timely resolution of Supplier Quality related issues.


- Extensive knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100
- CQE - Certified Quality Engineer
- Candidates should possess an engineering degree in the fields of electronics, mechanics or materials
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in structured problem solving (example A3, 8D, quick problem solving).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and act strategically and tactically to support successful project completion
- At least ten years of quality experience within the manufacturing industry preferably aerospace.
- At least three years in a managerial or leadership role
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
