Description
UVeye is looking for a Senior Technology Buyer to join our Operations Department.
As our new senior technology buyer you will support R&D, NPI and manufacturing operations and indirect procurement needs using your expertise and skills to successfully collaborate with internal and external business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Cross-functional collaboration within the organization such as R&D, NPI and Engineering, while ensuring best procurement practices.
- World wide suppliers sourcing for alternate and substitute components especially from the far east.
- Managed Contract Manufacturers management capabilities to ensure the availability of products to support scale up and flexibility on product changements.
- Review and analyze the external and internal customers’ demands and requirements to properly support their needs using professional procurement methodologies and processes.
- Implement and set up the right processes, policies and practical tools to assist procurement activities and projects in the SC group.
- Carry out strategic initiatives and tactical executions using an E2E approach to achieve company goals and support roadmaps.
- Full responsible on operational KPIs in terms of OTD, Cost Saving and Suppliers performances.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in E2E Strategic and Tactic Procurement activities to support and maintain procurement process.
- Experience in managing Full Turn Key Suppliers - must
- Ability to read and understand complex assembly drawings.
- Proven experience of negotiating with suppliers to improve costs, reduce lead times, and ensure quality.
- Understand the advantages and limitations of different manufacturing processes and technologies.
- ERP experience - is a MUST.
- Advanced skills using MS Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly motivated, organized, with a positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent Interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative, own tasks and be flexible regarding changing priorities
