A fast-growing, Jerusalem based technology company seeks a Legal Counsel, who will report directly to the General Counsel. The Legal Counsel will serve as in-house attorney handling the company’s global legal needs. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist in the management of the company’s day to day legal and regulatory compliance.

This position is hands-on. The successful candidate will have detailed and extensive experience working in a global company, including general contract, mergers and acquisitions, equity financing, litigation, labor law and regulatory work. This position will work directly with and support various key departments including IT, HR, product and marketing, among others. This position also requires experience in managing complex regional and international issues as well as an ability and desire to review and negotiate partnership and other agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Handle complex global/regional legal projects.
* Work with various departments on a variety of legal contracts including complex transactions, NDAs, partnership, and marketing agreements.
* Conduct legal research and interpret laws, rules, regulations and ordinances.
* Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

* Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in the technology sector, including preferably 4 years in-house work.
* A good understanding of a wide variety of IP issues, including copyright and trademark issues.
* Provide practical recommendations and guidance to all levels of the organization.
* Excellent organizational skills—ability to handle multiple ongoing projects with minimal supervision.
* Strong analytical, business, negotiation and communication skills—have the ability to absorb complex legal issues and communicate these issues in a simple and understandable manner, as well as showing business judgment and strategic thinking.
* Positive attitude, comfortable taking initiative, embrace teamwork.
* Meticulous attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
* BS degree in Law or J.D. or equivalent degree, with a license to practice law
* English at mother tongue level
* IP, software, compliance, HR and M&A experience - preferred
