DevOps Engineer

Being a "Tikalist" means entering a career journey to becoming a Senior DevOps engineer, focusing on three main key areas:

- Professional development - continuously getting to know new DevOps technologies, and delving deeper into the technologies you are interested in.
- Knowledge sharing- group meeting every two weeks at which we share knowledge and discuss challenges. We also hold regular lectures and presentations both internally and externally in our "Israeli Tech Radar" community.
- Becoming a Senior DevOps engineer- improving personal skills, such as self-management, growing their influence on their peers, presentation skills, and even a dedicated technology leadership course for employees who are at this stage.

All this is set out in a personal roadmap, which also identifies who in the company can help them, and any other ways in which Tikal can support them in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities:

- Consult on DevOps best practices & tools
- Transform org’s from monoliths to microservices architecture
- Container orchestration with Kuberentes
- Introduce and Improve Developer experience tooling
- High scale distributed systems
- GitOps methodology & Tools
- Improve overall SDLC(Software Development Lifecycle)
- Monitoring, Tracing & Logging infrastructure
- Production readiness - define KPIs / key metrics
- Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery
- Developer Portals

Learn: Create your own personal roadmap-

- Choose what you want and need to learn
- Work with a mentor to take you there
- Get all the needed knowledge
- Practice hands-on to "walk the talk"

REQUIREMENTS

- Linux- must
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, etc.)
- Provisioning & configuration tools- Terraform/ Terragrunt/ Ansible/ Helm
- GitOps- ArgoCD/FluxCD
- Cloud- AWS/ GCP/ Azure
- Docker & Kubernetes proficiency
- Logging & Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
- Scripting languages- Python/ Bash
- Independent & Autodidact your know when to take action
- Eager to be a tech influencer and have a broad impact on the entire SDLC
- Passionate about technology and doing things the right way
