Description

Where Your Intuition For User Behavior And Brilliant Ideas Meet Your Passion For Designing Great Products.

We’re looking for someone with the ability to visualize and conceptualize new products and features in their sleep. Someone who can understand the needs and pains of our customers and come up with innovative and disruptive solutions.

We work with the top mobile app developers in the world such as Facebook, Google, Disney, Yahoo, and Zynga. As a Product UX designer, you are a key part of the engine behind the products that serve and give value to these companies—and for this, you need to be exceptional.

Day-to-day you will:
- Work closely with the Product Managers and Developers to facilitate the execution of the product life cycle.
- Visualize and conceptualize new products and features in an organized and well thought out manner that takes into perspective our business as a whole.
- Be part of the thought process and conceptualizing complex features.
- Facilitate product visions by researching, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences.
- Lead design meetings effectively in English.
- Be a source of knowledge and expose the team to cutting edge design methodologies.
- Execute independently complex design projects.
- Work with the Product Managers on new concepts.
- Think disruptively and innovatively about new designs and concepts.
- Become an expert on our product, familiar with all aspects of the end-to-end user experience.

StoreMaven is a start-up, both in size and in mentality. You need to be incredibly independent and self-motivated. You should be able to make your own task list, to take initiative, and to isolate your weaker areas and work to overcome them.

We don’t do well with massive egos or hierarchy. We all learn a great deal from each other regardless of title, department, age, or experience.

We love what we do, which makes it a whole lot easier to excel—Mavens don’t quit, don’t give up, don’t accept mediocrity in themselves or others. If you want to be passionate about what you do and be proud of things you create… keep reading.

What’s in it for you?

Working for a start-up means you get to “get your hands dirty” and learn anything about everything—whether you want a better understanding of coding, biz dev, data sets or building a company from the ground up, any of the Mavens are happy to help you out in their areas of expertise.

And you will join the Maven family. We’re obsessed with each other. We would do anything for each other. We embody the ethos of work hard, play hard. We blast music in the office and spend some portion of the week destroying each other in Mortal Kombat. We meet each other’s families, walk each other’s dogs, and at least once a month go out and eat, drink, and laugh ’til it hurts. We don’t have “work personalities” and “real-life personalities”—we’re genuine to a fault and we embrace your weirdness.
