Where Your Curiosity and Analytical Skills Meet Your Passion for Making An Impact

We’re looking for someone who can dive into a sea of details and emerge with the big picture. Someone who has absolutely no fear of numbers. And someone with insane energy.

We work with the top mobile app developers in the world such as Facebook, Google, Disney, Yahoo, and Zynga. As a Business Analyst at StoreMaven, you will gather important data and translate it into digestible information for founders, department managers, and our clients. We expect you to be able to analyze on the fly, navigate unknown scenarios, and play a paramount role in making our services indispensable to clients.

What you’ll be doing
- Analyze data coming from multiple sources to identify trends, highlight shifts in performance, and tell a coherent story based on your analysis
- Create impactful data reports from conceptualization and data extraction, to data analysis and delivery of clear and actionable insights to our clients
- Quickly adopt new analytics platforms and integrate their data into our internal BI systems
- Synthesize your research findings into actionable insights to provide management with decision-making tools
- Clean and validate data to ensure high data integrity
- Spec visual graphs to answer key business research questions
- Work with our data science team to spec and help define data models
- Analyze our business processes, build and track KPIs to improve our effectiveness, and help us achieve our business goals
- Leverage our data and BI platforms to analyze, draw conclusions, and identify potential gaps/opportunities in company’s business flows
- Research new industries and geographic regions to create market insights reports
- Assist the Product and Dev teams in advancing and optimizing our tools
- Establish industry trends and benchmarks

What’s in it for you?

Working for a start-up means you get to “get your hands dirty” and learn anything about everything—whether you want a better understanding of coding, biz dev, data sets or building a company from the ground up, any of the Mavens are happy to help you out in their areas of expertise.

You also get to work with the best of the best companies in the world and learn about their business and structure. You will be able to concretely see your contributions and the impact of your work, both internally and externally.

And you will join the Maven family. We’re obsessed with each other. We would do anything for each other. We embody the ethos of work hard, play hard. We blast music in the office and spend some portion of the week destroying each other in Mortal Kombat. We meet each other’s families, walk each other’s dogs, and at least once a month go out and eat, drink, and laugh ’til it hurts. We don’t have “work personalities” and “real life personalities”—we’re genuine to a fault and we embrace your weirdness.

Are you a Maven?

StoreMaven is a start-up, both in size and in mentality. You need to be incredibly independent and self-motivated. You should be able to make your own task list, to take initiative, and to isolate your weaker areas and work to overcome them.

We don’t do well with massive egos or hierarchy. We all learn a great deal from each other regardless of title, department, age, or experience.

We love what we do, which makes it a whole lot easier to excel—Mavens don’t quit, don’t give up, don’t accept mediocrity in themselves or others. If you want to be passionate about what you do and be proud of things you create… keep reading.
