Description

Developing and maintaining an Enterprise Risk Management program in compliance with industry standards; designing and producing management and board-level risk reporting; directing the Operational Risk Management Manager in the operation of the Company’s third party risk management. Being responsible for providing 2nd line of defense oversight and challenge across the business lines liaises closely with 1st line managers to design and execute the ERM program requirements.

Reporting to the VP Risk & ERM

What will you be doing?
- Designing risk management work frame for the entire company’s risk portfolio
- Understands and applies risk management concepts, knowledge and skills to help ensure risks are appropriately identified, assessed, treated, monitored and reported
- Researches and investigates emerging risk topics, threats, vulnerabilities, capabilities, and solution options to create/update policy and governance and conduct assessments
- Stewards the risk appetite thru the annual refresh and quarterly update processes
- Serves as an interface with external entities for ERM reviews
- Facilitates the review, development, implementation, and documentation of ERM policies, processes, procedures, and programs
- Apply ERM, Governance Risk & Controls (GRC), and industry frameworks in the execution of services and education of business partners
- Enhances and contributes to strategies, tools, and methodologies to identify, assess, monitor, and report risks

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in risk management, Internal Audit, ERM
- Risk management or experience in a relevant functional area to include banking, financial services, audit, project management, public accounting or other related operational area
- Broad enterprise knowledge and/or expert knowledge of core business processes and products.
- Strong analytical, root-cause identification, problem solving, and decision making skills to effectively understand and resolve complex business problems and drive positive results.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling the incumbent to effectively engage with executive management, peers and subordinates across the Company.
- Ability to apply creative approaches and innovative thinking to established and new practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence others.
- Flexibility to switch priorities based on the needs of the company in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled and experienced at presentations to a variety of interested parties including the Board, banking regulators, executive management and others across the Company.

Nice-to-have:
- CIA, CFE, or CRISC, FRM or other certification in risk management (or demonstration of direct work experience that effectively substitutes for the lack of certification.
