Lightricks is a data driven company, and thus the Data Science group has a big impact on decision making.

We’re looking for a Data Science team leader to lead our Marketing & Finance data science team. The team plays an essential part by providing revenue predictions for a fast growing business, and optimizing the impact of our marketing budget spend. This team develops time series and other machine learning models. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact. 

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, andor deep learning. You also have a deep understanding of classical ML & DL algos for a wide spectrum of problems and domains and are familiar with time-series projects.   

You have the technical know-how to advise team members, the managerial skills to prioritize and advance projects, and the interpersonal skills to communicate data science to non-technical management. You’re willing to work hands-on, potentially working on your own projects while managing the team. 

You have profound business acumen and are able to communicate model’s internals and externals to management, while also incorporating external feedback into the models. 


- Manage and mentor a team of talented data scientists with experience in various machine learning applications. 
- Serve as the technical expert of the team, providing high level guidance on all projects.
- Direct and define projects based on the business requirements of Lightricks marketing and finances leaders. 
- Work on extremely diverse problems and domains, and work with several stakeholders on a daily basis including finance and marketing managers, developers, BI analysts and more. 
- Build ML and statistical models based on historical revenue streams and usage data to predict different KPIs. For example, LTV, campaign’s ROI, user’s attribution and more. 
- Design and analysis of AB tests.
- Develop causal inference models to analyse marketing efforts.


- 5+ years of experience as a data scientist in the industry, experience from b2c companies is a plus.
- 1+ years of previous managerial experience as a data science team lead 
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience developing and researching algorithms in data science/machine learning techniques and statistical methods, such as: boosting and bagging algorithms, time series models, clustering and anomaly detection methods, and more.
- Proven experience in taking projects through all the stages of a new ML model, from data analysis and labeling to prototyping, implementation in a production environment, and monitoring and maintenance. Delivery oriented.
- Proficiency with Python and SQL.
- Experience with bringing machine learning models to production in a cloud environment is a big plus 
- Independent and innovative with the ability to lead problem definition and goal definition processes.
