ZenCity is re-inventing the way cities listen to, understand and interact with their citizens. The ZenCity platform is a decision-supporting tool for understanding people in the city on a wide scale. With the use of advanced AI algorithms, we analyse data from social media, city hotlines and many other sources, and provide local government stakeholders with detailed insights about how their citizens view and use the city. Basically it’s like “google analytics” for a city.

What is the role?

As ZenCity’s Content and Social Media Manager, you will join our Marketing team to be an integral part of building and contributing to ZenCity’s marketing strategy. You’ll be responsible for helping to tell the ZenCity story through marketing materials, web-based content like blogs and ebooks, social media, and on other channels. This includes content marketing initiatives including identifying campaign opportunities and driving traffic and leads through creating inspiring content. The Content and Social Media Manager will ideally fuse together wordsmithery with the strategic execution of digital tools such as HubSpot, SEO practices, and community management.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a content and social media calendar, and execute on it
- Produce key written content assets, in short and long form, like blog posts, ebooks, white papers, campaign copy, and general collateral
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms
- Manage ZenCity’s social media and online presence, with a focus on metrics
- Be the owner of ZenCity’s digital strategy - develop and execute paid and organic digital campaigns, with a strong focus on metrics
- Help to build ZenCity’s marketing strategy from the ground up

Requirements

- Native English - a MUST
- Excellent writing skills
- 2+ years of writing or content creation experience
- 1+ years experience tracking organic traffic and other performance metrics from content
- Digital marketing experience
- HubSpot experience
- Experience with paid digital advertising campaigns (preferably LinkedIn and Twitter)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
- Detail and deadline oriented
- Team player

It’s even better if you have:
- A passion for local government, smart cities, govtech, etc.- strong advantage
- Experience managing and writing blogs and web content writing
- Experience managing social media accounts
- PR experience
- Working knowledge of how to optimize content according to SEO best practices
