This role will be based in Tel Aviv

What will you do?

- You will build from scratch the next generation of Zoomin’s product platform - multi-tenant, scalable, observable and reliable services that will support Zoomin’s product vision and roadmap.
- You will technically lead multi-quarter initiatives including designing, planning and delivery.
- As a tech lead, you will lead, mentor and grow more junior engineers on the projects that you’ll own.
- You’ll work in a team of highly experienced engineers with proven record of success from industry leading companies such as Dropbox, Ebay, Salesforce, Snyk and so forth.

Requirements

Academic degree in computer science or engineering disciplines

10+ years of experience with bulk of it working on complex backend systems

Programming languages

Multilingual proficiency is preferable. In any case, a staff engineer is expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of internals and ecosystem of at least one language of their choice.Computer science fundamentals

We do not expect staff engineers to solve algorithmic puzzles. Having said that, we expect them to have a reasonable understanding of fundamentals of computer science such as key data structures, algorithms and complexities.

Architecture and tech stack

We expect staff engineers to have a solid understanding of web architectures and their key pieces, and proven track of success solving complex backend problems and building scalable and reliable backend systems. A good knowledge set includes data stores, serving infrastructures, production monitoring systems, data processing platforms, cloud platforms.

Project leadership

Staff engineers should have a proven ability to have technically led a complex project involving multiple engineers for a significant period of time.

Mentorship

Staff engineers are expected to grow other engineers and make their teams tangibly better.
