If you are as passionate about AppSec as we are, we invite you to be part of the AppSec Research Group in Checkmarx, a leading company in the field of Application Security Testing.

As an AppSec Research Team Lead, you will be a part of the Checkmarx Application Security Research Group. You will be researching different languages, technologies, and software vulnerabilities. You will collaborate with security experts, analysts, and developers to improve Checkmarx’s AppSec solutions.

As a Team Leader, you will report to the Head of Security Research, manage and provide professional guidance to the AppSec Research Team.

Responsibilities

· Lead a team of highly skilled researchers

· Manage the team according to the group’s vision and roadmap

· Take part in creating a fulfilling career path for the team-members

· Research different security facets of multiple programming languages and technologies

· Perform security code review and analysis of results produced by Checkmarx’s AST solutions

· Convert application security knowledge into applicative ideas that improve AppSec tools (SAST, SCA, IAST, etc.)

· Support developers and relevant stakeholders on information security topics

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Team Leader - A must
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to drive collaboration and innovation
- Adept in application security – Deep understanding of security concepts, vulnerabilities, mitigations, and coding practices.
- Security work experience in a professional environment - Security research, web application penetration testing, secure development, security code review, or other similar fields.
- Solid programming knowledge, familiarity with both interpreted and compiled languages
- Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies independently
- Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in English – both writing and oral presentation skills
